Curriculum

MEA's teaching staff is highly qualified and dedicated professionals who care sincerely about the children and aim to provide them with the best of western education in China. MEA's students are indeed fortunate, as our program incorporates subjects to help them to integrate into their host country by providing them with the opportunities to learn Chinese language, and traditional Chinese sports.

Educational Philosophy

The teaching program at MEA focuses on developing the whole child. With an emphasis on creativity and imagination, our teaching staff, both Western and Chinese, aim to encourage the child to be fully aware of their environment, internally and externally. With an emphasis on promoting curiosity, our teachers encourage the children to explore and examine the world around them thus developing students with a lifelong interest in learning.

Educational Approach

MEA provides Foreign and Chinese children with an opportunity to develop in a rich multicultural environment with the aim of creating international world citizens. Our teaching approach aims to promote a respect for different cultures, an understanding of the differencesbetween peoples and places and an appreciation of the uniqueness of each individual. Our main curriculum is taught in English by qualified western teaching staff with a focus on western literature, math, science, computers, social studies, and the arts.

MEA is unique among the other international schools in Ningbo in that Chinese language and culture is taught within the program in support of our bilingual approach to education, and is regarded as the second language of choice for teaching.

Our teaching program fully respects the child's individual talents and abilities and the importance of working closely with the parents and families to promote the whole child's potential.
